Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted to the mafia assassination that took the life of Emiljano Shullazi's right-hand man and left his driver injured.

Këlliçi has leveled accusations at Interior Minister Albana Koçiu, who today declared that Albania is now a safe country, while reporting to the Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense.

The MP writes that the minister's statements and today's criminal events are a paradox. Këlliçi lists the latest criminal events and goes further when he states that Koçiu should have already resigned and not denied reality.

"State of denial and security in collapse!

Not even 8 hours have passed since the report of the Minister of Interior, Albana Koçiu, to the Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense in the Parliament.

In her statements, the minister demonstrated that she was institutionally in a state of denial of the aggravated criminal situation in the country.

She said that "the police cannot stay in the kitchen to prevent the son from stabbing his father, or inside the restaurant kitchen to prevent the pizza man from stabbing the chef."

The minister then spent over an hour talking about skateboards and their dangers.

In a macabre paradox, on the same day, a few hours later, the serious incident at Rinas occurred, which not only shocked public opinion, but also raised serious questions regarding national security at the country's airport, as well as the integrity of the police structure, considering that one of the victims of the attack is an employee of the AMP, under the authority of the Minister of the Interior!

In the context of a deep sense of insecurity among citizens, the criminalization of the police at every level, the infiltration of criminal structures into the dome of law enforcement institutions, a state of denial is not the solution to serious security problems, nor is playing with figures, frequently changing the face of the Minister of Interior but not the substance, the way of conceptualizing the work.

A ministry that follows the terrible prime ministerial principle of "eating each other's heads" can never offer Albanians the security they deserve.
