The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the attack on Fredi Beleri, who was hit with an egg by a citizen.

Bardhi describes the attack as a shameful act for Albania, while raising accusations that it was organized by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The head of the DP Group calls on the law enforcement bodies to act immediately.

"The physical attack orchestrated by Edi Rama, in the external environment of the Assembly, against the MEPs is an act that shames Albania. After they closed the door at the entrance, then on the way out they went to physical attack, violating the sacred code of hospitality and inter-ethnic harmony.

After suddenly canceling the meeting with the MEPs, he promptly ordered an attack on them, proving once again that he knows no limits to anyone who does not serve his personal interest.

On behalf of the DP Parliamentary Group, I strongly condemn the physical attack on MEPs and call on the law enforcement bodies to act immediately", writes Bardhi on social networks./ CNA
