Journalist Ola Xama has discovered the behind-the-scenes dismissal of 12 directors of Tirana Municipality by Erion Veliaj.

Xama said in a television appearance that Veliaj held an urgent meeting with the directors and told them that they would remain family.

According to her, Veliaj emphasized that the changes should be made for the benefit of the municipality.

"From the sources inside the meeting, all the leaders of the Municipality received a message on Friday morning that there would be an urgent meeting with the mayor, they expressed surprise because the meeting was held three weeks ago. The meeting lasted 10 minutes, Veliaj said he would to remain a family, but for the good of the Municipality, we must have changes.Resignation was requested, but then they were fired.  

In the middle of his speech, he said that everything is done to increase the integrity of the Municipality and he would do the same with the other arrested persons. There were 12 leaders. The most important positions, that of UKT, Elton Kacidhja, is replaced by Elda Muçi, she was the billing director, Kacidhja's confidant. The director of the Public Lighting Company, Erind Bejko, has been dismissed. The director of Tirana Parking and the director of the Municipal Police, Ermal Kapllani, dismissed de facto. The rest were the names that camouflaged the dismissals as to why they are happening.

What is happening is that SPAK went to the premises of Tirana Parking and seized considerable documentation and the telephone of the manager Erinda Fino. He also went to the premises of the parks and recreation agency. He received the lease contracts and the procedures that were done when Erinda Fino was the manager.
