The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, reacted from prison a week after his arrest, which he describes as kidnapping.

Meta declares that his arrest was made in order to enable the fourth mandate of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Also, he claims that another reason was to prevent him from defending himself to the public.

"Today was a week since my illegal and criminal abduction by the tontonmakuts of the DumDuman regime, which Edi Rama and the international mafia has built in our country.

It is as clear as daylight, that this long-planned kidnapping happened now right on the eve of the 2025 election campaign, to guarantee Narcoregjim through the Narco-Justice another 4 years of rule at the expense of Albanians and to the detriment of national interests.

Why should the President of the Freedom Party, the third parliamentary party in the country in 20 years and the former President of the Republic, who enjoys special protection from the Guard of the Republic, be kidnapped in the middle of the highway, through a staging that lasted for minutes? ?
