Prime Minister Edi Rama has spoken again about the government's plan for the pension scheme.

During a meeting with pensioners in Fier, Rama stated that the plan is very aggressive and companies that do not declare their real salaries will be treated like electricity thieves.

"We have made an aggressive plan to curb the theft of pensions from enterprises, but also from those who are employees and who agree to take the money in their hands, which do us double harm. The first is when the employer tells the employee, I'm giving you 500 euros in the bank and another 200 in your hand, so you have it all for yourself and you don't pay taxes. They are a financing that you make today so that the pension will be different tomorrow. We will strongly intervene against this theft, because we need to increase the volume of income. A construction company declares salaries of 500 thousand old lek, we know it does not exist. We will intervene, we have made it clear to the companies and all those who are employers. This is robbery and we will go after all the companies to get their share of pensioners just as we went after those who stole electricity, or took it from the street and didn't pay. This cannot work", declared Rama./ CNA
