Debates in the Economy Committee/ Head of the KLSH "shuts up" Bra?a:

The head of KLSH, Arben Shehu, has come to the defense of the media, stating that the media is the defender of the interests of the society and the advocate of the Albanian society.

This attitude of the head of the KLSH, Shehu, came after the complaints of the socialist deputy, Erion Braçe, in the Economy Committee, where the latter has exploded against the media, saying that he is in continuous attacks and the essence of the attacks, according to him, is the proposal he made in relation to the KLSH.

Discussions in the committee

Erion Braçe: I am making this intervention to clarify some things. It has been several weeks that I personally have been the object of continuous attacks in the media, and the essence is the proposal I made in the resolution of the commission and the parliament in the KLSH report. They are attacks that come from ignorance, from ignorance of the law in the first place and the work of the deputy in the second place, they are attacks that come from malice. The malice originates from within KLSH.

I don't know what happened in the 10 days since the approval of the resolution in the parliament, I believe the testimony that I captured the KLSH or I had the intention to capture the KLSH.

KLSH is caught if you want it and not us. I haven't caught anyone. I don't know how KLSH is caught. I tolerate ignorance, but not malice. Today I have decided not to speak, if I open my mouth I will be a target again. We dare not open our mouths.

Arben Shehu: I want to clarify that KLSH does not have any kind of malice, on the contrary, first and foremost as a deputy and for what Mr. Braçe represents.

From Mr. Braçe's side, we have had a more supportive attitude in relation to the position held by Mr. Braçe.

Regarding communications or different attitudes that the institution could take, I had all the opportunities and I chose the path of normal institutional communication.

I am not a journalist, I am a lawyer by profession. I value the communication with the media very much because he is a lawyer for the Albanian society. The media is the protector of the interests of the society. But in relation to such situations, it is pointless for us to get involved and insist in this direction.
