The new Pyramid of Tirana opens, which according to the government will be the largest digital center in the Balkans.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, together with Prime Minister Edi Rama, visited the Pyramid this evening.

He also quoted the great Ismail Kadare to bring, through metaphor, the change of a symbol, from that of dictatorship, to a symbol of transforming power towards the future of a city.

"I wanted to quote one of our giants, Ismail Kadare, to use the metaphor of the Pyramid for all those political changes that took place in Albania in the 90s, he says exactly: 'A Pyramid has the initiative unlike any other building, sometimes he initiates the construction with excitement and sometimes he initiates the construction with despair".

The pyramid of Tirana probably fits this definition better. It began as a edifice of despair and today reopens as a building of joy. I am glad that we have reached this peak for our Tirana and as the saying goes: "The top of a mountain is the foot of another mountain to climb even higher," said the mayor./ CNA.al
