Public spaces/ Balluku: IKMT will take concrete measures to respect distances

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, has made a statement to the media regarding the release of public spaces.

Balluku said that starting today, IKMT and the State Police will take concrete measures to respect distances from national axes.

"Yesterday, July 31, was the deadline for vacating spaces near national axes, respecting the distances specified in the law. An advisory campaign was carried out by the ARRSH and IKMT for 8 days, with concrete cases of cooperation between entities and our troops in the field. Suffice it to tell you a case on the Kombinat-Plepa road axis, where the entity has undertaken to withdraw and respect the distance from the body of the national axis, as well as the aesthetic arrangement of the area where it operates. This is a good example to follow everywhere.

I also take this opportunity to congratulate all those entities operating on the Gjirokastra-Levan axis, as I was there together for an inspection with the ARRSH engineers and IKMT inspectors and we did not identify any violations in this territory.  We would like to inform you that from this moment on, IKMT, supported by the State Police, will take concrete measures to respect the distances from the national axes.

What is happening today in the territory of Albania is not an action against tents, as is said, it is a deep reform for the release of public spaces and respect for the rules and laws of territorial protection in the Republic of Albania. It is a reform that does not leave out of attention neither tents, nor the common courtyards of occupied buildings turned into parking lots, nor the illegally built TECs in the territories of Albanian resource deposits, despite the ridiculous denial of their existence or the even more ridiculous protection by segments paid to attack the public good.  I thank the citizens for this excellent cooperation throughout this period and we encourage them to continue the denunciations. Even, in the future, through a dedicated platform, the 'My Space' platform that was announced by the Prime Minister, Edi Rama.

"I wish you a peaceful summer and happy holidays and we assure you that all institutions are on duty in every corner of the country to guarantee better quality services for Albanian citizens and the many foreign visitors who are in our country this season ," said Balluku./ CNA
