Mayor Erion Veliaj has confirmed the news announced by journalist Elvi Fundo that he will go to SPAK.

Fundo warned on Thursday on Ylli Rakipit Veliaj's show that he would appear at SPAK, after receiving two summonses from this institution.

And today, Veliaj has admitted that he will go to SPAK, although he denied it a few days ago in a television appearance.

Initially, he avoided it with his health problems and his agenda outside Albania, but now he has admitted that he will go to SPAK, saying that he will provide more information.

He stated that he will appear at the Special Prosecutor's Office in the following days, once they agree on the schedule.

"I have taken this proposal seriously and I want not only to continue the cooperation, but I want to provide more information, both to clarify the issue of incinerators, and to explain why some media and some journalists influenced by politics confuse the Bank's letter World with the unsolicited proposal. So, rather than waiting for SPAK and other institutions, let's say, with the procedures and delays of the post, to do all this communication, I'd rather go myself, make a chronology of all these situations, and I think that the proactive approach it helps both parties. The side of the municipality as far as it is, as one of the 5-6 customers of the incinerators and for all the knowledge it has, also the side of SPAK not to be delayed with "the mail arrived, the mail was delayed", but to have all the necessary information.
