Race for Tirana/ Lapaj: We are in coalition with Florjan Binaj, not with Berisha

The leader of the "Albania Becomes" Movement, Adriatik Lapaj, declared today that his movement supports Florjan Binaj as an independent candidate, but not in coalition with the Democratic Party, which supports Binaj as the opposition name for the race for Tirana.

In a television studio, Lapaj said that the movement he leads feels good that it has not imposed this political formula.

Lapaj also expressed his consideration for Binaj's figure as a civil society activist.

"We are not in coalition with Berisha, but with Florian Binaj, as an independent candidate. Binaj has announced his candidacy as an independent. He is an early civil society activist with several causes. He has not been attached to political camps. We feel good that we imposed this formula. The good news is that politics held hostage by a minority of people is now opening up," Lapaj declared./CNA
