Former MP Ervin Salianji has reacted from prison after the victory of the American presidency by Donald Trump, in the race against Kamala Harris.

In a letter, Salianji says that Trump did not just defeat an opponent of the other party, but won over the superstructure that was being consolidated in the world's most powerful democracy.

He declares that with the victory, the elected president gave a strong message: "Fight-Win".

The former deputy declares that, just like in the USA, in Albania there are attacks and attempts to annihilate the opponent, which should not discourage the citizens.

Although it's been days since the vote and the publication of the result, it seems as if Donald Trump is winning the election again with every passing hour. This is not only from the great legitimacy it has reaped, from the deep difference, but also from the appointments! His triumph was extraordinary when in front of him was an energetic, younger candidate, massively supported and with an energized campaign with fundraising like never before and with massive support of a conglomerate of elites and vainglorious VIPs, well-organized propaganda structures, influence and lobbying and polls, which increased the public's orientation towards it.

Trump didn't just defeat an opponent of the other party, but won over the superstructure that was being consolidated into the world's most powerful democracy.

It is useless to say how much sympathy the elected President has created in Albania. In the prison of Fier, we don't have many opportunities to follow the press, newspapers and major magazines of the world that have surely made the proper analysis of what happened.

However, I believe everyone, but I am left with the main message of Trump; FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT – WIN, WIN, WIN!

There is no doubt that with the decisions, with the acts, with the decrees that he will undertake, the 47th President will define a new course in the world. But, the campaign, and what the American citizen decided, despite all the propagandistic atmosphere that was created, despite all the imposition with the strongest opinion industries, has reversed the situation quite a bit and created a new order. An order that will undoubtedly radiate and influence other countries as well.

Especially where democracy, freedoms and basic rights are being questioned by authoritarian governments and leaders,

There are similarities of US political and electoral realities with us here.

Likewise in Tirana, the industry of propaganda and manipulation of reality, of influencing opinion through the media and polls, tends to predetermine the results and has a hostile, aggressive agenda towards the opposition.

Likewise, judicial persecution of the opponent.

Attacks and attempts at annihilation by extra-political means.

Of course, our uniqueness is perhaps unique in the world, because the Opposition here has to face, in addition to all these, also the gangs and organized crime that are the government's close allies.

Trump's debacle showed that nothing is impossible.

And it is so simple in fact, he put it in one sentence; Fight, fight, fight – Win, win, win.

Undoubtedly, the struggle with renaissance and all its conglomerate is not easy and has costs.

I am now not where I should be, but isolated in a narrow cell and I write this letter in a notebook that my lawyer then takes and makes public, because my fight upset the prime minister, disturbed his peace, damaged the career of the Minister of the Interior and disrupted organized crime groups!

So that's enough to be in prison, not only without evidence, but with falsified and manipulated evidence, without a regular legal process, without committing the crime I'm accused of. It's just that I denounced the fact that the brother of the Minister of the Interior was convicted in Italy for international drug trafficking and continued his free activity in Albania with the protection of the government!

This should not discourage anyone. I am convinced that if everyone is where he is, in his role, in his place, in his life; fight, fight, fight, we will make it. Edi Rama cannot imprison us all. He is really a coward who, knowing full well the end that awaits him, tries to sell the punishment of his opponent as bravery and shows malignant joy in anyone he imprisons.

We have it even simpler. We don't need to make Albania great just once. We just need to make it a normal place, protect it, save it from the malignant autocrat and remove it from the clutches of crime!/ CNA
