Democratic Party MP Elda Hoti in a statement to the media has accused the Mayor of Kurbini, Majlinda Cara.

Hoti said that Majlinda Cara has a mountain of files in SPAK for several criminal offenses such as abuse of office, abuse of tenders or theft of property.

The deputy said that Kurbini is in extreme poverty and Rilindja is so greedy for money that their eyes are blinded and they take the last penny from the citizens.

Hoti underlined that PD will continue to denounce the violations until Cara is accountable to justice.

"I am at this press conference to make it public that the Mayor of Kurbin, Majlinda Cara, has received files from SPAK, for several criminal offenses from abuse of office, abuse of tenders and even robbery of citizens' property .

I am here today as a deputy of the Lezhë district, to ask the justice institutions to act without wasting time. Every day that passes and justice does not act, the cost goes to the citizens of Kurbin. While the files sleep in the drawers of SPAK, it is the citizens of Kurbini who every day pay the corruption bills of Majlinda Cara and a sect around her.

I repeat, Majlinda Cara is heavily accused of corruption, abuses of the reconstruction fund, the tenders she commands, up to involvement in the robbery of citizens' properties.

If the institutions would act, she would not be in the mayor's chair today, but would be in the defendant's chair, facing justice.
