The Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama himself, when they came to power, said that people who have problems with justice and the institutions that have emerged as a result of the reform should resign and go to protect themselves, even though they may be MPs. , mayors or high officials of the SP.
The Socialist Party, according to what Rama has often articulated, will not defend anyone and will not allow anyone to defend themselves with its name. ( Read here )
People who are accused must go before the law and bear their personal responsibility in case they are found guilty and punished by justice. ( Read here )

In fact, this is a double standard of the prime minister who comes with MP Plarent Ndreca, who has been informed of the accusation and he himself confirmed this today.
Plarent Ndreca has not left the mandate of the deputy and continues to exercise his duty. In addition, he was one of the co-chairs of the Commission of Inquiry on Health Concessions. ( Read here )

The second case is that of the mayor of Shkodra, Mr. Benet Beci. The latter was also called to SPAK a few weeks ago. The media reported on accusations against Beci, but he too continued his duties. ( Read here )
These two cases show that what Rama said and what was done are separated by a whole sea, or a double standard coming from the government, in the "war" against SPAK , showing that it will protect them her sons to the end.
He has not protected all of them directly, but often indirectly, as was the case of Ilir Beqaj , who even though he had fled as a deputy, got an important leadership position, or the cases of other socialist officials. (Read here )

Today we are faced with the fact, Plarent Ndreca and Benet Beci continue their duties, they defend themselves in the name of the Socialist and Renaissance Party, they also do strong public political activity from the SP, no one reacts.
Under the slogan "responsibility is personal", Plarent Ndreca is still a deputy in the SP group, there is no decision against him, neither is Benet Beci.

Perhaps this change of strategy on the part of Prime Minister Edi Rama comes before the elections, since he would have to close many holes if other MPs are arrested, as happened with Jurgis Çyrbjan, who resigned as soon as the charges were communicated to him and was arrested. ( Read here )
Even these should at least resign and be replaced , but with the mayors it is even more difficult, since the elections would be held, there would be a campaign, there could be consequences.

Socialists seem to be already tightening their ranks, demolishing the moral of their fable about the Justice Reform, that it was independent, that they would not protect anyone.
Now we are seeing with our eyes and listening with our ears how SP officials do not resign, do not leave, but continue to remain in office, doing the opposite of what Prime Minister Edi Rama told us a few years ago first./ CNA
