The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke about the trial in a Paris Court with the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, for the "non-grata" sanction.

Berisha said on Endri Xhafo's show that he lost this trial after the judges assessed that the Secretary of State has immunity.

Also, another reason according to the former prime minister is the fact that he is not a citizen of EU countries.

"To be honest, my lawsuit was a lawsuit for the dignity of Sali Berisha and the dignity of Albanians. It was not a lawsuit that the Court would make this or that decision.

But it was in my dignity to ask the gentleman to produce documents on the charges. The case went to court, but the judges assessed that the Secretary of State has immunity and that I am not a citizen of EU countries.

According to my lawyer, these claims were relative, because defamation is punishable even where it occurs. Immunity is not for defamation, defamation does not give immunity to officials", stressed Berisha./ CNA
