The photo speaks for itself/ Why is Berisha scolding Gaz Bardhi?

A photograph taken during the exit of opposition MPs from the Albanian Parliament premises has captured a somewhat tense moment between the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, and the head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi.

As can be seen from the facial expressions and hand gestures clearly visible in the photograph, it appears as if Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha is reprimanding Bardhi.

In fact, there are several reasons why Gaz Bardhi deserves a 'pull on the ear' from Berisha.

While on the one hand, Bardhi seeks to appear as the model politician of the opposition, on the other hand, his image is problematic on several issues.

There have been many unworthy statements for an opposition representative, like Gaz Bardhi, away from the cameras, but also in some cases expressed in front of the cameras and the media, unlike what should typically happen with an MP who also holds the position of head of a parliamentary group.

Bardhi himself is the one who declared several years ago that he would leave politics if Sali Berisha took over the DP, and he is still there.

Likewise, Gazment Bardhi is the man who reported to the Special Prosecution Office democrats such as Belind Këlliçi, Albana Vokshi, Ivi Kaso, at the time when he was on Luli Basha's side.

Also, again in the "time of Luli", Bardhi armored the DP headquarters, preventing and blocking entry for many Democrats.

Gaz Bardhi's exploits are countless, and it seems that he deserves this rebuke from Berisha. /CNA
