Veliaj's speech at the Constitutional Court/Gjikondi: Hypocritical,

Lawyer Brizida Gjikondi spoke in a television appearance about today's hearing against Veliaj held at the Constitutional Court.

Gjikondi said that in the event of a split vote among the members of the Constitutional Court, i.e. 4 to 4, Veliaj's request will be rejected.

Focusing on the speech delivered by Veliaj today at the session, Gjikondi said that it was a hypocritical and populist speech, as the citizens' vote was mentioned all the time.

Gjikondi further said that Velaij did not represent and did not take into account the interests of citizens.

 

" You lack the consistency of the judiciary. This is something to say especially in moments when we have a political clash. This Constitutional Court, which is composed of 8 members, if it is divided 4 by 4, Mr. Veliaj's request is rejected. As for Velijaj's speech, it seemed hypocritical, populist, untrue, because he referred to the Albanian vote all the time. It was a populist and untrue speech, because not only Veliaj and the politicians have not represented and have not taken into account the interests of the citizens. Many appear as politically persecuted, but in fact they are not. I would like them to come to a point where they come down to earth and understand their sense of guilt ," said Gjikondi./ CNA
