Rama to TV5 Monde: Albania's integration into the EU, part of a unification and awakening of Europe

Prime Minister Edi Rama has given an interview to the French channel "TV 5Monde".

Rama focused on Albania's integration into the European Union, as an important issue for the country.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this process is at an advanced stage, as he expressed that he sees it as part of a union with the European continent, in a period of awakening from the war in Ukraine.

"Yes, we are at a very advanced stage in terms of what you just mentioned. We are in negotiations. We have opened 5 out of 6 group chapters and we hope to open the sixth, which would be an absolute record in terms of speed. This is also related to the fact that Europe, from the point of view of enlargement, I prefer to call it 'union', is experiencing an awakening. The war in Ukraine showed, among other things, the need for a more united and stronger Europe", said Rama. /CNA
