Documents that were removed from the municipality/Ristani: The news that evidence is disappearing is false

The acting Mayor of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, has reacted to the media regarding the files that were removed yesterday from the institution she heads. Ristani said that the news that came out yesterday that files were being burned is untrue.

She specified that the files of the Tirana Municipality have been taken out of the building to be stored in the archive. Ristani said that every file of this institution is rigorously stored in the archive.

" The malicious news spread yesterday that the Municipality of Tirana is destroying evidence and documents is untrue. We in the Municipality of Tirana are no longer surprised by anything, by anyone, who accuses us without evidence, without facts, for no reason other than political interests."

In any case, the Municipality of Tirana assures the public with full responsibility that every document of its institutional life is preserved with the greatest rigor in our archive, which, in compliance with the relevant laws, is located in a facility outside the central building and meets the conditions of preservation and security according to a well-defined protocol ," said Ristani./ CNA
