At a time when the DP discovered another 5D scheme in the Municipality of Tirana, this time with the dismissals of municipal employees to close the affair that the legal director of this institution, Alban Dokushi, was having with his bailiff brother, Besnik Dokushi, the mayor in prison, Erion Veliaj, had sued the Anti-Corruption Spokesperson in the DP, Genta Vangjeli, in court for defamation for publicly denouncing this scandal.

In a statement to the media from the Criminal Chamber at the Tirana Court of First Instance, Vangjeli indicated that it was Veliaj who filed the defamation complaint after denouncing the DP.

Vangjeli said that Alban Dokushi, through his brother, the bailiff, has benefited from 6.3 million euros.

"Some time ago, we denounced an affair where the legal director of the Municipality of Tirana at the time, Alban Dokushi, through his brother, the bailiff, benefited 6.3 million euros for people who had terminated their employment contracts. Veliaj filed a defamation complaint, claiming that the situation was not as planned," said Vangjeli. /CNA
