Protest in front of the Presidency of the Assembly/Activists: Justice and SPAK

Activists of the organization Qëndresa Qytetare gathered today in front of the Presidency of the Parliament to protest, while the rector of UBT, Fatbardh Sallaku, was present before the SP parliamentary group, following 24 measures issued yesterday by SPAK for university staff.

One of the activists, Migjen Qiraxhi, said that justice and SPAK are being attacked. He said that what is happening is the biggest drama that can happen in a democracy.

We recall that today, Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the meeting of the SP parliamentary group, held a public hearing with the rector of UBT, Fatbardh Sallaku, who has collaborated with the structured criminal group of incinerators, after signing an agreement with the incinerator company "Integrated Energy" in 2021.

"In Albania, justice is being attacked. These people are disrupting order and justice. What is happening is the greatest drama that can happen in a democracy. Those accused of corruption are being given a chance in parliament. The Prime Minister is a power inseparable from justice. The Prime Minister has decided to disrupt the justice system. All those who have problems with justice should appear where they belong. The Prime Minister is attacking justice because it has come to his doorstep. SPAK has today imprisoned the mayor of Tirana, ministers and senior state officials. An independent body cannot be violated by the Prime Minister. Justice must be calm in its decision-making. The Albanian Parliament is not the club of SPAK's troublemakers," said activist Migen Qiraxhi./CNA
