"Any behavior that violates ethics violates the trust of citizens"/

The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Niko Peleshi, has reacted on social media after the chaos caused by the opposition in the plenary session.

In his response, Peleshi writes that any behavior that violates ethics undermines the representation and trust of citizens.

Peleshi states that Parliament's duty is to cooperate for a solution for the good of the country and not to create chaos.

The Speaker of Parliament expressed his gratitude to the Republican Guard and the staff of the Parliament.

Peles' reaction

The Albanian Parliament is not simply a place of debate, but an institution where the words and behavior of the deputies must bear and demonstrate the weight of responsibility and serve understanding, not division. Any behavior that violates the ethics, respect and rules of operation of the Parliament seriously damages the dignity, undermines the representation and trust of citizens. Our obligation is to cooperate for solutions for the good of the country, to develop a serious dialogue, not to create chaos.

Above political interest lies the interest of the state. No political force can claim to represent the only truth, and no party division should make us forget that we all serve the same country and the same citizens. The institutions of the Republic are a common value, not an arena for personal or party battles. Preserving, strengthening and respecting them is a responsibility that unites us beyond our political divisions. Only when we put the state above the party can we build a stronger Albania for generations to come. Respect for the Assembly is respect for the Republic, respect for the citizens.

Gratitude to the employees of the Republican Guard and the services of the Assembly, for their correctness and responsibility in carrying out their duties.
