Argita Malltezi, the daughter of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, was asked this evening if she will succeed her father in the Democratic Party.

Agita Malltezi said on Alba Alishan's "Debate" show that she does not see political activism as a major issue.

However, she did not rule out the possibility of a Democratic Party leadership, as she emphasized that she will watch the course of situations.

"I was very truthful in what I said. I have never seen politics as the field where I would like to make my contribution. I have always been connected to politics. I am very satisfied with the profession I do. Like many other Albanians, I do not see activism in politics as my main issue, the circumstances brought me to take this role, for which I was not sorry that I had not taken it until now. I really hope that things will follow their course and that my activism will remain public for as long as it was necessary and no more," underlined the daughter of the former prime minister./ CNA
