The Political Leader of the DP for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, in a statement to the media from the blue headquarters, emphasized that during the investigations by SPAK for the company "5D KONSTRUKSION", several phones, computer equipment and contracts were seized, which opened Pandora's box.

Kelliçi emphasized that the seizure revealed the scheme of how Erion Veliaj's subordinates stole public funds, as well as the private communication application between them and their charter trips from neighboring countries.

"The question that naturally arises is why the special prosecutor Klodian Braho, who started this investigation after our denunciation and report, is no longer acting today?", says Kelliçi.

He further underlined that the de facto owner of the Tirana Incinerator, Erion Veliaj, apparently holds this prosecutor hostage through the threat of Mirel Mërtir, so that he does not in any way affect another illegal corruption scheme created in the Municipality of Tirana.

Today it was 334 days since the registration of the criminal report that I filed in SPAK against the famous company 5D CONSTRUCTION.

The company of subordinates of the de facto owner of the Tirana Incinerator Erion Veliaj, where the brain is the corrupt director of the Tirana Municipality, Maringlen Qato.

The 5D CONSTRUCTION company has benefited from millions of euros of public funds and several building permits with Erion Veliaj's own firm.

During the investigations which are being led by the prosecutor Klodian Braho, according to the information available to the chronicle journalists and made public in the media, several phones, computer equipment and contracts were seized which opened a pandora's box.

From these seizures, it is said that the scheme of how these subordinates of Erion Veliaj have stolen public funds has been uncovered, as well as the private communication application between them and their charter trips from neighboring countries have been discovered.

Today as we speak, almost a year later, we still have no arrests or seized assets, allowing these citizens to continue their businesses intact, even benefiting from a new building permit, starting after the local elections of the year 2023.

The question that naturally arises is why the special prosecutor Klodian Braho, who started this investigation after our denunciation and report, is no longer acting today?

Perhaps we will find the answer in the criminal report that Mirel Mërtiri filed against this prosecutor, accusing him of being connected to organized crime in the country.

So today, the de facto owner of the Tirana Incinerator, Erion Veliaj, apparently holds this prosecutor hostage through the threat of Mirel Mërtir, so that he does not in any way touch another illegal corruption scheme created in the Municipality of Tirana.

Personally, I was the first to come out of this pulpit in defense of this prosecutor when he was publicly blackmailed by the Tirana Incinerator gang, but today I publicly appeal to him to stop pulverizing the file of the 5D company and immediately send his subordinates to justice corrupt office of Erion Veliajt in the Municipality of Tirana, together with the latter, who has today turned the institution of the municipality into the biggest monument of corruption in the country.

Only unregulated justice is the only solution to the rampant corruption in which our country is navigating today.

Only a justice which does not have double standards and does not imprison the Leader of the Opposition without any evidence or charges, but brings to justice based on indisputable facts and documents the thieves in the government and the municipality, is the right remedy for this critical situation with embezzlement and theft of public funds in the country./ CNA
