The Head of the State Intelligence Service, Vlora Hyseni, present at the Internal Affairs Committee for the 2026 draft budget.

Hyseni requested that the meeting be held behind closed doors.

" SHISH has always found support for budget requests. A two-minute open session, then we will ask to move to closed doors ," said Hyseni.

 

This request also sparked debate in the Internal Affairs Committee.

Democratic Party MP Flamur Noka said that when asked about secret information, Hyseni may not answer. Noka stated that an Intelligence Service and not State Security was requested.

The Democrat said that the hearing should be held with open doors for transparency towards the public.

" If we ask about data that is a state secret, the mayor has the right not to answer. We have asked for an Intelligence Service, not a State Security Service, that time is over. Allow open-door sessions for transparency towards citizens ," said Noka./CNA
