The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, has given an ultimatum to political parties, as he spoke about the vote of immigrants in the parliamentary elections of 2025.

Celibashi said on Alba Alishan's "Debat" show that the parties should stop rhetoric and take concrete actions.

He stated that the parties that will not take concrete steps will be at a political and electoral disadvantage.

"The fact that the number of Albanians with the right to vote who live outside the territory of the Republic of Albania is significant and each of the parties would have an interest in attracting them.

And the attraction first begins with the creation of opportunities to vote and at least the public communication that the political parties do will have to show that they have an interest in enabling voting from abroad and it is now time that we can no longer continue with rhetoric and must undertake concrete actions.

The one who will be left behind in this action can be considered as a political and electoral disadvantage", emphasized the head of the CEC./ CNA
