Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting in the Kamza area this afternoon. Rama focused on the election that citizens will hold on May 11.

In his speech, Rama said that in these elections, citizens must choose between their own interests or the opposition's concerns.

Rama stated that Albanians should choose the alternative of Albania in the EU.

"On May 11, Albanians must choose between their interest or the plight of a single owl. They must choose Albania with the EU or choose to go with the owl and the swamp in the pit. It is unimaginable how it can be discussed. I do not understand or some of them are idiots and do not know how EU integration is developed, telling me that I am 12 years old and I did not take the country to the EU. But Montenegro, which opened negotiations in 2012, why has it not entered? But Serbia, which opened them in 2014, why has it not entered? But Macedonia, which became a candidate country in 2005, why has it not entered? Because the EU does not function as it wants, and what do we do but what interest does the EU itself have. Today, what we have wanted for 500 years, integration into the EU, matches what the European Union wants," Rama said.

Rama continued his irony towards the opposition, saying that the owl ate them all. Rama added that on May 11, the Democrats will suffer their biggest defeat since 1997.

"The owl ate the leader of Kavaja who won the primaries, it ate them all. On May 11, they will suffer their biggest defeat since 1997, they will come out defeated as they deserve, but they deserve that the defeat will come from the Democrats themselves," Rama said. /CNA
