Abandons the Democratic Coalition and joins the SP/ MP Vasil Sterjovski

MP and Leader of the Alliance of Macedonians for European Integration, Vasil Sterjovski, announced today his departure from the coalition with the Democratic Party and his merger with the Socialist Party to run on the open list of the Korça District.

Sterjovksi made this surprise move shortly before the decision to set party lists for deputies in the May 11 elections.

Sterjovksi stated that negotiations with the DP failed and that he had no space on the coalition list, considering this as the reason for his decision.

 "Negotiations with the DP failed. I asked them for a place on the open list of Korça, but they refused. They didn't give us places in other districts either. So, we were in a coalition, but without any space on the lists," said Sterjovski.

It is learned that Sterjovski has also officially submitted a request to the Central Election Commission to deregister his party from the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition. /CNA
