Member of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Ilir Alimehmeti, has expressed his desire to run on an open list for Tirana, for the May 11 parliamentary elections.

In a television appearance, Alimehmeti declared that he is not afraid of the vote.

Alimehmeti said that the DP should produce the best list to win the May 11 elections, and not by looking at it on an individual level.

Alimehmeti added that he would like the outcome to be a list compiled with the people who have the greatest power to bring victory on May 11th.

"I would like an open list, I am not afraid of the vote. I would like an open list for everyone, but it was decided differently in July. Let's produce the best list to win the May 11 elections, and not by looking at it on an individual level. The total composition of the list, the primary one is within the DP, the ranking is done by the Presidency and the National Council. But I would like the end result to be a list that is compiled with the people who have the greatest power to bring victory on May 11. It is completely normal.
