A few days after the announcement of the list of MPs for the May 11 elections, the first changes have begun. Democratic MP Dashnor Sula announced today that he has been excluded from the race.

In a reaction on social media, Sula expresses surprise as to whether this is a winning list or a list for a beneficiary.

Sula says that after this decision, he has no regrets for himself, but for his supporters in the Elbasan Region.

The Democratic Party has entered the final phase of the list for the May 11 battle. But are the criteria of the DP Statute and trumpeted in the media being respected?!

Although 70-80% of the DP leadership de facto were against the primaries, referring to the statute and the insistence of the DP, the primaries were held. As a deputy of the Elbasan district representing the Municipalities of Elbasan, Peqin, Cërrik, Belsh and Gramsh, after 4 years as a deputy I entered with conviction without doing internal backstage to see if I had the support of the Democrats to represent them for another mandate. Thanks to the Democrats, of Elbasan, Peqin, Cërrik, Gramshir and Belsh, I came out first as the most voted.

In 4 years as a member of parliament, I have denounced oil smuggling, the abandonment of agriculture, and many other things.

The Institute of Political Studies has listed me several times among the 10 most active members of Parliament in the Opposition.

Every day I have defended the interests of voters by denouncing them in the media and also defending the Democratic Party.

I have met thousands of Albanians in the diaspora in the last 2-3 months with one objective and one desire, to convince them to contribute to making their country prosperous. I have been received with great respect and I appreciate them.

But, dear friends, I have just been notified that I will not be part of the Democratic Party's list of candidates for deputies in the May 11 elections for one reason only; because I am a "SPAKIST".

For no moment during this legislature have I questioned only one thing: my support in every appearance on the Parliament podium of the Justice Reform structures, SPAK and GJKKO. I have believed and believed and continue to believe that they are continuing to do a great service to this country, they have imprisoned people with power, who a few years ago could not even be thought to be in this situation.

For me, this is a medal that is awarded to me after 3 terms as a member of parliament, considering that I am a supporter of those Justice structures, which, according to every survey conducted, emerge as the most trusted institutions in the country.

I have no regrets for myself, when I started this path in 2005 I never thought I would be in politics for 20 years. My only regret is for the Democrats of the Elbasan district and the thousands I have known and met in the last 2-3 months in the Diaspora.

"Finally, I have a message for those who are locked in the tower and are making the list for the Elbasan district, not everyone who will be included in that closed list can enjoy the votes of the Democrats of Elbasan, Peqin, Cerrik, Belshi and Gramshi", - Sula says. /CNA
