The chairman of the DP, Sali Berisha, has raised the alarm about the devaluation of foreign currencies and the strengthening of the Albanian lek.

In a press conference, Berisha said that the situation is dramatic and the changes in the currency exchange have impoverished ordinary Albanian citizens.

According to him, the drug lords and drug traffickers have benefited from this situation, who, according to him, invest the money in construction.

"We are here today for a very shocking problem, which is accompanied by a very heavy blow to production, insofar as exports are its powerful engine. It is accompanied by a very serious impact on employment, as the export sector is a major employment sector in this country, it is accompanied by an imbalance, further deepening of the trade imbalance and fundamental shaking of the Albanian economy.

There are numerous and normal debates on this situation of the merciless devaluation of the European currency, and the illogical strengthening of the Albanian lek. There is no question that the leku is a national symbol and as such its strengthening should be a matter of pride, but in this case it is a matter of national shame. This is because those who benefit from this created lek-euro and euro-lek ratio are the drug lords and drug traffickers.

Hundreds and thousands of Albanian families who close the day and the months with their earnings in the business that export are hit by this report.
