The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted to the seizure of Tirana's incinerator by SPAK, after providing evidence for the affair.

Berisha described the sequestration as a measure in the right direction, but emphasized that justice should not be delayed.

He raised accusations that the "de jure" owners were hidden for a long time by Prime Minister Edi Rama and the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

According to him, justice should have revealed the owners earlier.

"This week's seizure of the Integrated Energy company and their assets by SPAK has been the main topic of the weekly debate. Personally, I and DP have supported and will support every measure, decision, act that is consistent with the impartial implementation of the law.

In this context, we support, as a measure in the right direction, the imposition of sequestration on the companies and the assets of the companies that on paper own the Tirana burner. But PD also reiterates that just as the chilies are the theft of the century, their investigation is the failure of the century.

Delays in the investigation have cost the citizens over 40 million euros robbed by the thieves of the century. For the DP, the delay in this seizure constitutes a serious criminal offense in itself.

First, because only a few months ago, the head of SPAK declared that we do not impose seizures because we do not know the owners and they will throw us into arbitration. With this statement, he asserted that the executive is hiding the owners of the companies in order to quietly continue the theft of millions of euros. They did this concealment, this criminal offense not to protect the enrichment of Zoto and Mërtir, but to protect their own enrichment, because the real owners are Rama and Veliaj and others.

Those who hid the owners in the papers, committed a heinous crime and should have been in jail for some time, but this does not happen because the prosecution is theirs. The prosecutor knows that the state is obliged to comply with the contract it signed, and when it does not comply, it hides a crime or commits a crime.
