The head of the DP, Sali Berisha, has asked the deputy of the DP, Enkelejd Alibeaj, not to become the spokesperson of Lulzim Basha.

Among other things, Berisha revealed details of the meeting with allies regarding the 2023 local elections.

"We have to speed up the elections in the race. It is not a race that is run by the PD leadership, it is a race that is determined by the primaries. No one can offer a more democratic and civil form than the form of an open competition. We promised to the Albanian citizens that we will bring change. Sympathizers will also vote in these primaries. I asked the allied parties to make the lists and vote in complete independence. As long as everything is open. Lulzim Basha is isolated. Alibeaj is another matter. Alibeaj should not become Basha's spokesperson. The MPs of Alibeaj are not parties and the lawsuit is illegal," said Berisha./CNA.al
