"We didn't spend money in vain"/ Xhaçka compares Albania

The issue of cyber attacks continues to be in the center of attention, and recently it was Minister Xhaçka who emphasized that the Albanian systems are functional. 

The minister further argues that thanks to the investments made in this field, Albania has succeeded in not violating the data.

"I heard it said that millions of euros have been wasted by the government because there is no defense capacity.

Të gjithë jemi dëshmitar se pavarësisht masivitetit të sulmit, sistemet jo vetëm që nuk u shkatërruan, por janë tërësisht funksionale. Si mund të thuhet që kapacitete tona të mbrojtjes kibernetike nuk funksionojnë dhe të thuash që janë hedhur para kot, kur të dhënat nuk janë cenuar.

Sulme të tilla ndodhin edhe në SHBA dhe vendet e Bashkimit Europian dhe nuk është gjithnjë e mundur të parandalohet. Edhe garës së armatimeve brenda kësaj hapësire, ku hakerat do tentojnë të gjejnë dobësitë e vendeve dhe të sulmojnë.

Rezultati i këtij sulmi do të kishte qenë shumë ndryshe nëse nuk do të kishim investuar edhe aq sa kemi investuar për mbrojtjen e tyre.

Our systems resisted, that's a fact, and today they are fully functional. Our cyber defense proved to be as effective as it was despite the massive attack. What I want to convey to my colleagues is the need to do more in this direction. We are doing exactly that, we are working with our EU and NATO allies. This is a delicate moment that calls for unity because our country has become a victim of an unjustified aggression", said Xhaçka./ CNA.al
