The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has guaranteed political allies that the DP will cooperate to determine the electoral system that the opposition considers most beneficial.

Berisha recalled the history of electoral changes in Albania since 1991, including majoritarian, proportional and regional systems, and emphasized the role of the DP and the SP in these decisions. He stated that there is no claim that the opposition will decide alone, but seeks a joint selection with political partners.

"I want to guarantee the full will of the DP to jointly define the system that we, as an opposition political force, consider the most beneficial."

So, without any pretense that we will stand by our selection without understanding and agreement with you. We have our representatives on the electoral reform commission, who will be the advocates of our proposals, agreed upon, agreed upon that we think is the most appropriate system for elections in Albania.
