The candidate of Enkelejd Alibeajt for the Municipality of Tirana, Roland Bejko, has stated that the Central Election Commission has blocked the DP's finances and has not yet released them, even though two weeks separate them from the May 14 elections.

In an interview with journalist Nisida Tufa, Bejko said that his opponents took most of the money.

Meanwhile, the CEC has announced  (in this link) that on April 12, funds for political parties have been distributed and the DP of Alibeaj has received ALL 402,261.

"We are penalized by the fact that the finances have been blocked by the CEC and have not been released while there are only two weeks left of the campaign. Our opponents have a lot of money and goods. In these conditions of political oligarchy, I cannot separate Berisha from Meta and Rama. The lack of billboards is a kind of handicap because visually you are not in the city, but we have a positive feedback on social networks. We want votes that are against the old political caste that has been ruling for 30 years. Rama himself has organized his campaign in this way. He has placed two characters by his side that he cannot live without. With them he stays in power as long as he likes. We come as a new offering that we have been freed from the burden of evil that we had because Berisha took it with him and ran away.
