Balla warns the opposition: We will not accept any request if it is not within

The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, took the floor in today's plenary session. Addressing the DP, Balla said that the majority will not approve any of their motions for debate if they are not within the rules of the Assembly. He stated that the last three requests sent by the DP Parliamentary Group are deficient and not based on the rules.

"The Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, regarding motions, are very clear. I have before me the first request that we have to review. This comes from the DP Parliamentary Group, and it asks for hundreds of issues within one. It asks for the government's balance sheet from 2013-2025. We want, that is, one more issue that has to do with the current governing political program. We will have a debate in a few weeks on the progress of the European integration process. Call it a motion with debate, whatever you want. In January-February, the government will bring to the Assembly the progress of EU integration. Then we move on to the issues of criminalization, citizen trust, public institutions and even the relations of the Albanian state with international partners.

"You have made all three of these requests that we will review today deficient and unfounded in the rules of the Assembly. Because you do not want to have a debate yourself. I cannot accept any request that contradicts the rules of the Assembly. You can even go to any studio and make a mistake. We never want you to suffer what we in the opposition have suffered. You will either bring these requests according to the rules or you will never have an agreement. We will approve any request that does not bring here gossip ," Balla said. /CNA
