Tom Doshi and Sabina Jorgo withdrew/ 2 new MPs take office

This Thursday, the plenary session in the Albanian Parliament began with the swearing-in of two new MPs, Besnik Brahimi and Shkurt Lasku.

In his speech, Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi read the procedure for the swearing-in of the two new MPs, who took office after being on the next list after the resignation of PSD leader Tom Doshi and the other candidate Sabina Jorgo.

"This concerns the mandate of Besnik Brahimi and Shkurt Lasku. The report for the Council of Regulations and Mandates is made in support of point 164 that was announced for the mandate of Doshi and Jorgo. The mandate has been given to Mr. Brahimi and Mr. Lasku. The CEC has fulfilled the conditions of the articles of the Constitution. The interrupted mandate passes to the next candidate in the respective electoral zone. No illegality results for the deputies. Consequently, in support of point 4, they are invited to take the oath according to the regulation of the Assembly", it was said in the Assembly. /CNA
