Beler's arrest, Greece: If there is no evidence it would be a scandal, we have informed the EU

Greek Minister Nikos Denias has said that he has informed Jopep Borell and the Presidency of the EU about Fredi Beleri's arrest, since if there is no strong evidence it is a scandal.

"The arrest of a candidate for mayor two days before the elections, if there is no irrefutable evidence, constitutes a scandal", underlined Mr. Dendias, after his arrival at the informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union, which is taking place today.
