A 12-year-old boy in Turkey was killed by the kidnappers after the latter did not receive the amount of 400 eros they had demanded in exchange for the boy's freedom. 

According to the local media, it was learned that Khaled Haykand, the son of a Syrian jeweler who lives in Mersin, disappeared yesterday.

After that, the rioters phoned the family members, where they demanded 400,000 euros in exchange, ordering them not to inform the police about the case.

Immediately after the anonymous phone call from the kidnappers, the family members alerted the police, who set in motion to find the minor.

Examining the available evidence as well as the camera footage, the police have come to the conclusion that the 12-year-old did not leave the building where he lived with his family, focusing the investigations there.

Khaled was found dead in the basement of the building wrapped in a carpet and suspected of drowning.

The police focused their investigation on the building's administrator as he was the only one who had the keys to the basement. The citizen Hasan C, who is suspected of being the main author in the murder of the 12-year-old, was arrested.
