The identity of the two tourists who lost their lives while exploring the area in Qafë-Valbona has been revealed.

It is about Baets Myrthe, 25 years old, from Belgium and Joanna Blocaille of French origin.

The two tourists were moving on the Valbonë-Theth path without any companion who knows the area and as a result of the rough terrain and unfavorable atmospheric conditions, with fog and snow, they slipped and ended up on the slope.

Later, an avalanche hit them, an impact that proved fatal for the young women's lives. To enable the removal of dead bodies, local and border police services, as well as alpine teams, went to the scene in cooperation with Civil Emergencies and the Ministry of Defense./ CNA.al
