Can Albanians buy apartments in Tirana?/ Dorjan Teliti collides with Gjin Gjoka

The real estate expert, Gjin Gjoka, and the Vice President of the Municipal Council of the DP in Tirana, Dorjan Teliti, clashed with each other during a debate on a TV show, regarding the fact that Albanians can buy apartments in Tirana.

Teliti said that 90% of Albanians cannot buy apartments due to the increase in prices.

On the other hand, Gjoka opposes it saying that banks operate independently from the government and have strict rules for anyone who buys a house.

According to him, every middle class in Albania can buy apartments and flats in Tirana.

Dorjan Teliti: "Today a couple cannot buy an apartment, while they once bought it in the 2000s. Today there is dirty money in the market. 90 percent of Albanians find it impossible to buy a home."

Gjin Gjoka: "Today wages have increased. If you can't afford it, rent. Banks are rigorous and have rules, regardless of who comes to government." /CNA
