The political leader of the DP for the Korça District, Ivi Kaso, in a television appearance, explained to the public the protracted battle between the democratic deputies and the socialists in the Parliament regarding the decision of the Constitutional Court to hand over the mandate of the deputy Olta Xhaçka, a decision which was overthrown by a majority vote.

Kaso said that the Assembly of Albania protects Olta Xhaçka, by voting against the Constitution, the law, the constitutional practice and the practice that the Assembly of Albania itself has created in other cases.

"One of the most dangerous precedents in democracy is being established, that of the destruction of what the Constitution is based on, the separation and balance of powers, when the only supreme institution that interprets the Constitution and resolves constitutional disputes issues binding decisions for all other powers of the state, you see how it is openly ignored for the second time with a decision-making which is assumed that the Assembly of Albania addressed the decision-making of the Constitutional Court.

It is the third time that the Parliament of Albania defends Olta Xhaçka, voting against the Constitution, the law, the constitutional practice and the practice that the Parliament of Albania itself has created in other cases.

After the first request of the DP parliamentary group, the Constitutional Court ordered the Assembly of Albania to send Olta Xhaçka's mandate, and the Assembly of Albania deliberately chose to ignore it and voted against it.

This forced the DP parliamentary group for the second time to turn to the Constitutional Court to declare that illegal decision of the Assembly unconstitutional and to finally state that the Assembly of Albania has the right to choose which decisions of the CJK to implement and which not to implement.

The GJK with a final decision has once and for all shared that the Assembly of Albania does not have the discretion that it thinks it has that sovereignty as a representative of the people, but in that case the Assembly of Albania is obliged to implement the decision of the GJK to vote on this case before the CJK as in that case the Assembly of Albania is only implementing the decision of the CJC.

For the second time in relation to the concrete decision-making of the GJK, it is the Assembly of Albania, which, in implementation of the political line defined by the Prime Minister, who defends at all costs even before the tearing of the Constitution in front of all Albanians, for Olta Xhaçka, chose that with a decision politician allegedly abstained, practically overturning the decision of the GJK."/CNA
