High housing prices, Dorjan Teliti: Tirana is a construction site

Invited to a television studio, the Vice-President of the Municipal Council of the DP in Tirana, Dorjan Teliti, discussed the increase in the prices of houses and apartments in Tirana, offering an overview of the current situation in the real estate market.

Teliti emphasized that the stagnation of price growth may be related to market saturation or financial impossibility for buyers.

"The reference prices in Tirana have increased by 53%. Builders face infrastructure taxes, housing taxes and council taxes. "If the references had not been increased by the government, we would have seen the beginning of reductions in selling prices," he stated.

He described the situation as a "construction nightmare" that continues to exist, stressing that the market has moved to another phase.

"Sales are happening, and it is important to understand that these prices have been influenced by a large part of buyers who have invested these years," Teliti added./ CNA
