The member of the leadership of the Democratic Party and the municipal councilor of Tirana, Ilir Alimehmeti, declared this evening that the Democratic Party has not yet started the engines of the electoral campaign.

Alimehmeti said in a televised appearance that the opposition is behind with preparations, compared to the SP, which has started the engagement for the elections.

He emphasized that time is short and DP's actions must be quick.

"Long power itself is barren. We have mass population removal. How many ministers are in prison, how many are being discussed, how many scandals? People don't eat grass. They see them and move away. It is true and that PD has not started the engines, we are behind the race that we should have been. However, there are still months. It's not long. Time is short and quick action is needed. We know that the ruling party has the highest organization in the diaspora. We will do even more. I foresee a trend in the future of SP, as a form of campaign, that will discourage voting and this is in favor of the position. Having low voting balances this reduction.
