What message does this attitude send from a troubled, tired country that has lived through dictatorship, betrayal, national division and unparalleled political enmity between people?
After all, who are we punishing but ourselves if we don't go to vote?

First, there will be votes. Fair or not, there will be votes! The system will survive. Even easier! Unpopular political figures will be again. They will survive even more easily. Second, the decisions will be made and this guilty silence of not voting in the election will be considered by them as consent and not rejection.

After all, not voting doesn't destroy arrogance; strengthens it . Non-participation in the voting is cooperation, not at all an act of rebellion, much less a revolution! At a time when this political system and these political characters of the transition and communist dictatorship, have not one, but several faces and threaten to survive with a strengthened costume and with many identities from the system chosen by them, even though the West is against for them, non-participation in voting can only be described as complicity.

The choice of the beach or staying on the living room sofa on the day of the elections also supports this system and these hated political characters and can be characterized as a "caricature" of an outdated and corrupt political system that is trying to survive again, through a the electoral law system that harms the citizen's vote. Anyone who does not go to the polls cannot complain.

There is no right to "revolt". Even if you wait for something different to arise. The slogan: "Everyone is the same!", is also no excuse. Elections are a mandatory choice. And every society has the political forces it deserves. And not voting is one of the most serious blows to democracy. Even if it is not the democracy one would like.

Voting is a right, but also an obligation. Both for those who declare themselves within the system, and for those who rebel as "unsatisfied and disappointed with the system!" Both for those who take, and for those who avoid responsibilities! The easiest thing is to turn your back on responsibility.

To announce yourself as dissatisfied, disappointed, demoralized by the system, to call yourself "politically indifferent" and to wait for "change" while hiding behind the most anti-democratic option: refusing to vote." Because even those who stay away from the ballot boxes make a choice. They line up and silently support those who complain with their cries, even though they may be partially right.

And in the end they weaken us all... The system, democracy, the value of the vote. Investment in the future and hope for change! In any case, no one escapes responsibility for what the ballot box will produce!/CNA
