What does the disclosure of the murder schemes by SPAK show

The increase in the statistics of those arrested by SPAK in a quite paradoxical way, is undoing day by day the reason for which this institution was established. The more colossal thefts or criminal murder schemes that are uncovered, the more the public's faith in impunity is coming to an end.

This was also proven by the next file on the activity of some of the country's most dangerous gangs, operating in the area between Lezha, Laçi, Fushë-Kruja and Tirana.

What do we find there? A former deputy of the SP, Arben Ndoka, who for months engaged an army of killers, to commit a crime. A representative of the Rrahje, the other clan of a former renaissance deputy, who organizes an ambush for murder, this time against Arben Ndoka himself. Then Astrit Avdyli appears on the stage, the character of the "339" file, made famous by the "Bild" wiretaps, who controls the paid killers from the detention cells. Next, Pëllumb Gjoka, the insurer of the vote barn in the Shkodra District, who is able to recruit police chiefs, to continue the illegal activity of gambling. Furthermore, the close man of the general director of the police, Ardi Veliu (strangely mentioned by name in the file), who publicly lied about Elbasan's electoral crime, who spies on behalf of mafia groups.

If you look at it from a point of view where SPAK refuses to go deeper, all these elements are connected by a single thing. They have, in one way or another, produced votes for the ruling party. And this was allegedly the blank check to have freedom in their criminal activity.

When you follow this logic, the question naturally comes to mind: Can the Special Prosecutor's Office go to those who granted the killers this freedom? Can it touch the electoral crimes that have entrenched the power of a single gang?

It is enough to raise this dilemma to understand that, in a completely contradictory way, SPAK, as much as it is morally ruining this government, bringing to light truths that even the most perverted imagination could not have imagined, equally and it is strengthening its power, not touching the essence of existence.

This conclusion, as much as it is true for criminal affairs, is equally valid for corrupt ones. If you delve into the scandal of the incinerators, you see that prosecutors and investigators have tracked down those who have taken home any money, who have benefited from a travel ticket or an erotic hotel bed, while they have not dared to reveal the monstrous architecture of the robbery that will eventually cost the Albanians close to half a billion euros.

So, here, too, SPAK tarnishes, makes dirty, reinforces the collective superstition of a people who are robbed every day, but is unable to give the answer to who their real thieves are.

Exactly this paradox, where it is painted through countless facts that the fatherhood is being done, but where the systemic evil remains without a head, is weighing more and more every day the trust in an institution that was established with the hope that the untouchables would come to an end.

To paraphrase one of its early supporters, former ambassador Donald Lu, SPAK is not going for the big fish. He is enjoying himself by making statistics with swindles, that's why crime and corruption become stronger, while the net seems full of arrestees./CNA
