The "Mountain of Tirana", the famous 56-story tower, must have caused a mountain of trouble to Prime Minister Rama, who was forced to sit down and write a long response, a sheet as he himself called it. "This sheet was hung here simply for the sake of the author", writes Rama, without hiding at all the concern that the debate about the capital's new skyscraper has created.
But what does the prime minister's new predicament have to do with? More than the usual debate about occupying green spaces, concreting Tirana or cleaning suspicious money through construction, Edi Rama's concern comes from the dilemma of who can stand behind the perfidious idea that through this tower he is compromises the real opposition.
It is not that the Prime Minister has lost sleep over the continuous accusations of concreting Tirana and the criminalization of the construction business, every time similar towers have occupied the capital. This time, not only the accusation of buying the opposition, but also the unknown who is behind it, has forced him to react with the "sheet of his personal trouble".
In fact, there are several elements that may have disturbed the peace of the prime minister. First, as he analyzes himself, the tower project was approved almost a year ago and the permit was approved six months ago. Why did the debate break out just now? Did Arlind Qorri provoke him, whom Rama calls "a group that wanders around Tirana with the mission of saving Albania from the capitalist plague", or someone else with influential power over many media?
Secondly, the fact that the interests of Sali Berisha are hidden behind the construction, why did it have to be exposed so strongly, when Rama himself had declared some time ago, in voice and image, that the most powerful construction companies in Tirana had been connected to the Party Democratic? What was special about Ilir Shtufi, apart from the surname that connects him with a construction material, from a group of builders, known for their closeness to the former government of Berisha, who today, thanks to Edi Rama's permits, are the owners of the most imposing towers In the capital? Why was he not accused before of compromising the opposition and the names of these builders were never mentioned by the media that are now crucifying Shtuf?
And thirdly, who else but him, has the power and the power that even the well-known media supporting him, suddenly turn against him, even with a very serious charge. The fact that his power is based on the purchase, compromise and control of business, the media and the opposition itself, and not from the free vote of Albanians.
It is not easy to explain all these dilemmas and this is clearly seen in Rama's long reaction, where he tries in vain to find the real traces behind this attack on him.
Probably, it is not the influencing power of Arlind Qorri that has provoked this storm over the corrupt morals and occult power of the prime minister. Arlind Qorri has spoken and protested dozens of times, but has never been given such media space. The mechanism to humiliate the prime minister as a leader who does not deserve power, but buys it, must have been set in motion by a power almost equal to his own. Dozens of towers have been erected in Tirana, businessmen known for their connections with PD are their owners, but never like now has Edi Rama been accused even by "his own" for taking the opposition hostage.
He, in his reaction, tries to find this very power that is opposing him. In addition to the usual accusations against the opposition and the sweaty Basha, Rama speaks of "unchanged anger nails, incurable jealousies and inconsolable drools of envy" and immediately mentions that the affair against him "was even compared to the infamous "burners", hinted that the accusations are being made at the exact time when SPAK is investigating the Tirnaa incinerator. Even, if it can be seen as a message, immediately after this paragraph, Rama writes that the lawsuit against the tower in SPAK is like an anonymous letter, while "SPAK has its hands seriously busy with increasingly hot potatoes of corruption and organized crime". And the hot potato these days is precisely Tirana's incinerator.
Rama's trouble is certainly great to understand where this sudden attack comes from. Even if he thinks it, he doesn't dare to say it out loud. One thing is certain: its originator cannot be Berisha, who is also implicated in this affair, nor Lulzim Basha in the green t-shirt. Behind him, most likely, there is someone else who has the power and skill to deliver the right blow at the right time. Someone who, today, needs to demonstrate his strength as a message to anyone who threatens the power, as a preventive measure for tomorrow's politics. Someone who knows how to best exploit the sensitivities of some media when Berisha is mentioned and the willingness of others to serve whenever needed. Someone, drawing Edi Rama as the leader who holds power thanks to occult connections,
