If it weren't for the Greek veto, today would be good news for Albania as well.

Greece is harming Albania by turning the fly into a buffalo. It is not a friendly gesture towards the blocking neighbor.

But whether we like it or not, Greece has shown that it has blocked Macedonia for 10 years because of the name, whether we like it or not, Greece has put a bilateral issue on the table of the 27 member countries. In the face of great interests, the aspirant countries in the EU and NATO have made difficult decisions, - Macedonia, in front of Athens and Sofia, Sweden in front of Turkey's demands for membership in NATO.

What was required from Albania at this moment?

Albania has long been warned about the Beleri case. The least that could be done is for a Beleri not to turn into a bela. There were, and there are all possibilities, that our very perfect Justice itself, after 7 months, would have finished the investigation and trial for a case in flagrante delicto. The Prime Minister himself could have made political messages for a quick, professional and independent investigation.

Then it is not right that we commit to solving the disputes between Serbia and Kosovo, to commit to solving the great problem of Italy with refugees, and moreover to suggest formulas for solving the 75-year conflict between Israel and Palestine.

The loss of this calendar date on the road to the EU is not fatal because we are used to the fact that the delays are mainly caused by ourselves (remember the case of the Fier district council that became a big problem for the opposition at the time to vote the 3 laws in 2012 that cost us more than 10 years)

But this time with the new elections for the European Parliament and the time it will take for the process of constitution of the Parliament and the formation of the new Commission, we can lose a full two years. And this is not good news for the "army" of 1000 people who worked with dedication and enthusiasm during the scanning process. It is not good news for the country either.

The Beleri issue will be resolved, but it is an issue that we are "burning" the quilt for a flea.
