Cannabis greenhouses are discovered in 3 villages in the north

The police announced the discovery and disposal of 894 narcotic cannabis plants that were cultivated in forested areas, in the territories of the villages of Gjonpepaj, Lekbibaj and Mserr.

In the official announcement, the Blues state that the mayors of the villages of Gjonpepaj and Lekbibaj will be prosecuted for this event, together with the forest service officials of these two villages, for failing to report a crime and abuse of office.

The discovery comes thanks to the coded operation "Bjeshket e Nemuna".

"Following the anti-cannabis controls, with services from the ground and with drones, the services of the Kuka Local Police Directorate have finalized the third phase of the coded police operation "Bjeshket e Nemuna", in the framework of which:

- in the village of Gjonpepaj, 178 cannabis sativa narcotic plants were found cultivated;

- in the village of Mserr, 428 cannabis sativa narcotic plants were found cultivated;

- in the village of Lekbibaj, 288 cannabis sativa narcotic plants were found cultivated.

The narcotic plants, after performing the procedural actions, were destroyed by burning.

Following the procedural actions for these cases, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state, for PU and SS citizens, mayors of the villages of Gjonpepaj and Lekbibaj; AQ and Gj. P., the responsible of the forest service in these two villages, suspected of the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty" and "Criminal neglect".
