The former leader of the Vlora gang, Zani Çaushi, has requested a reduction in the sentence. The competence for examining this request has passed to the Court of Korça.

This decision was taken yesterday in the Advisory Chamber by the Supreme Court. Çaushi had turned to the latter with a request to resolve the jurisdiction between the court of Mati and the court of Korça.

The former leader of the Vlora gang is serving his sentence in the high security prison in Drenova. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment, but is seeking a reduced sentence.

Since the Court of Mati has dismissed such a request several times, this case will now be tried by the black squads in Korça/ CNA.al
